The pack participated in the Taps Across America ceremony on Memorial Day May 25 at the Wirt County Courthouse.
Every Memorial Day at 3:00pm, Americans from coast to coast pause to honor those who gave their lives in service to our country.
Founded in 2020 by retired Air Force bugler Jari Villanueva, it began as a way to bring Americans together during the pandemic.
Bruce Wendleken has been taking part in this event and playing ""Taps" on the courthouse lawn for a few years now.
This is a very brief but meaningful ceremony and the public is invited to attend and pay their respects to the nation's fallen service members.
Attending and presenting the flag ceremony were Cub Scouts: Spencer West - Raymond Kelley - Lakota Wooten along with Cubmaster Keith Smith and family members Kenneth Kelley, Jim Frymier. and April Wooten.
