The pack celebrated the 96th birthday of Cub Scouting with their annual Blue-Gold Banquet on Saturday February 21 at the Elizabeth Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
This year's theme was "Discover our Heritage."
Invocation was given by Danny Egbert.
A covered dish dinner included ham and turkey made by Levi McVey and wife began the evening.
Presentation of the colors by the Arrow of Light Patrol followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, Scout Oath, and Scout Law.
Lion, Tiger, Wolf. Bear, Webelos, and Arrow of Light dens performed skits.
The Cubmaster led the group with the Joe and the Button Factory participation activity.
A Cub Scout Court of Honor was held for Cub Scouts who earned advancements:
We begin this evening with our Lion Scouts. In earning the Everyday Tech elective adventure our Lions (1) Discover technology around your home, meeting place, or neighborhood (2) Discover ways that digital technology can make life easier (3) Identify an item of digital technology you use at home. Demonstrate to your Lion adult partner how you use it safely.
In earning the Lion badge our Lions complete the following six required adventures. Bobcat, Mountain Lion, Fun on the Run, King of the Jungle, Lion’s Roar, Lion’s Pride and at least two elective adventures.

Next is our Tiger Scouts. In earning the Safe and Smart elective adventure our Tigers (1) Memorize your address. Recite it to your Tiger adult partner or den leader (2) Memorize an emergency contact’s phone number. Recite it to your Tiger adult partner or den leader (3) Show you can Stop, Drop, Roll (4) With your Tiger adult partner or den leader, create a fire escape plan for your home or den meeting place, including your outside meet-up spot. Practice the escape route you would take (5) With your Tiger adult partner, find the location of smoke detectors in your home or den meeting place. Confirm they are working properly (6) With your Tiger adult partner or den leader, learn why matches and lighters are only for adults (7) Visit an emergency responder station or have an emergency responder visit your den.

Next is our Wolf Scouts. In earning the Adventures in Coins elective adventure our Wolf Scouts (1) Identify different parts of a coin (2) Find the mint mark on a coin and identify the mind facility where it was made and the year it was made (3) Play a coin game (4) Choose a coin that interests you and make a coin rubbing. List information next to the coin detailing the pictures on it, the year it was made, and the mint where it was made.
In earning the Wolf Badge our Wolves complete the following six required adventures. Bobcat, Paws on the Path, Running with the Pack, Council Fire, Safety in Numbers, Footsteps and at least two elective adventures.

Next our Bear Scouts. In earning the Paws for Action required adventure our Bears (1) Familiarize yourself with the flag of the United States of America including the history, demonstrating how to raise and lower the flag, how to properly fold and display and United States etiquette (2) Identify three symbols that represent the United States. Pick your favorite and make a model, work of art, or other craft that depicts the symbol (3) Learn about the mission of any non-profit. Find out how they fund their activities and how volunteers are used to help (4) Participate in a service project.
In earning the Bear Badge our Bears complete the following six required adventures. Bobcat, Bear Habitat, Bear Strong, Paws for Action, Standing Tall, Fellowship and at least two elective adventures.

Next our Webelos Scouts. In earning the My Community required adventure our Webelos (1) Learn about majority and plurality types of voting (2) Speak with someone who is elected to their position (3) Choose a federal law and create a timeline of the history of the law. Include the involvement of the three branches of government (4) Participate in a service project.
In earning the Webelos Badge our Webelos complete the following six required adventures. Bobcat, Webelos Walkabout, Stronger- Faster- Higher, My Community, My Safety, My Family and at least two elective adventures.
Wyatt Yoak – My Community + Race Time adventures + Webelos Badge
In earning the Arrow of Light Race Time adventure of Arrow of Light Scouts (1) With adult supervision, build either a Pinewood Derby car or a Raingutter Regatta boat (2) Learn the rules of the race for the vehicle chosen in requirement 1 (3) Mentor a younger den to prepare for the race (4) Before the race, discuss with your patrol den how you will demonstrate good sportsmanship during the race (5) Participate in a Pinewood Derby or a Raingutter Regatta.
Carson George – Race Time adventure Jack Jarvis – Race Time adventure Silas McVey – Race Time adventure Greyson Williams – Cycling + Duty to God + Race Time adventures.
