The pack celebrated the 83rd birthday of Cub Scouting with their annual Blue-Gold Banquet on Saturday February 23 at the Elizabeth Baptist Church.
A covered-dish dinner for Cub Scouts, Family Members, and Friends of the Pack began the evening.
This year's theme was "Red + White + Blue."
Bear Den 3 performed the Flag Cermony with the presentation of our country's colors.
Cubmaster Keith gave a brief history of Scouting's Blue-Gold Banquet which began in 1933.
Songs, Skits, Cheers were performed by the dens.
A Cub Scout Court of Honor was held for the Cub Scouts who had earned advancements.

Bear Scouts Paul J + Christopher L + Raymond L + Jacob T earned the privilege of carrying a pocketknife to Cub Scout functions by completing the Whittling Chip requirements. In addition, each received their Whittling Chip card and patch.
24 Cubs were presented with a patch for competing in the 41st Annual Davis Anderson Memorial Allohak Council Pinewood Derby Race at the Grand Central Mall on February 2, 2013.
Cubs presented service stars for their years in Cub Scouting.

Starting in January 2011, a new quality program called "Scouting's Journey to Excellence" became a BSA national performance assessment and recognition program designed to encourage and reward success and measure the performance of units.
Pack 30 has earned the Gold level again this year.
Therefore, each boy and leader received the Journey to Excellence patch for our accomplishment.
Each Cub Scout was asked to make a dessert, with the help of a male adult for the Cub/Male Dessert Silent Auction. Desserts included cakes, pies, cookies, bars, fudge, monkey bread, brownies, pumpkin roll, chocolate strawberries, cupcakes, even a birdhouse and a tool box.

The evening conclude with everyone singing "America the Beautiful" and the retrieving of the colors by Bear Den 3.
