Cub Scout Pack 30 WebpageReturn to Activities
The pack Pinewood Derby was held on Saturday January 19 at the Elizabeth Baptist Church on our new four lane aluminum track.
The following helped with funding our new track: Elizabeth United Methodist Church - Creston Community Watch - Elizabeth Piggly Wiggly - Chris Long Barber Shop - Cubmaster Keith Smith and several Anonymous donors.
The event began with a free Hog Dog/Chili dinner at 5:00pm followed by weigh-ins and inspections of Cubs, Siblings, Adults race cars.
Cubs receiving advancements were:
Barrett Davis - Animal Kingdom + Build It Up, Knock It Down + Fun on the Run + King of the Jungle + Mountain Lion + On Your Mark + Protect Yourself Rules adventures + Lion Badge
AJ Richards - Animal Kingdom + Build It Up, Knock It Down + Fun on the Run + King of the Jungle + Lion's Honor + Mountain Lion + On Your Mark + Protect Yourself Rules adventures + Lion Badge
Luke Hardbarger - Fur, Feathers, and Ferns + Roaring Laughter Bear adventures
Logan Davis - First Responder Webelos adventure + Bobcat Badge
Nolan McCallister - First Responder Webelos adventure
The races began with the Pledge of Allegiance and the playing of the National Anthem.
Assistant Cubmaster Derek Egbert explain the rules to the racers.
8 Cubs racing were: Barrett Davis - Logan Davis - Luke Hardbarger - Jack Jarvis - Nolan McCallister - James Pitts - AJ Richards - Murphy Towner.
Receiving metals were: 1st place Barrett Davis - 2nd place Nolan McCallister - 3rd place Murphy Towner
All Cubs received a participation ribbon.
4 Siblings racing were: Tyler Hardbarger - Evan Marant - Caroline McCallister - Reed McCallister.
Siblings race results were: Evan Marant 1st place - Reed McCallister 2nd place - Tyler Hardbarger 3rd place - Caroline McCallister 4th place.
Each sibling also received a participation ribbon.
4 adults racing were: Derek Egbert - Byron Long - Chris Long - Chuck Robinson.
Adult race results were: Chris Long 1st place - Byron Long 2nd place - Derek Egbert 3rd place - Chuck Robinson 4th place.
