Cub Scout Pack 30

The pack Pinewood Derby was held on Saturday Janury 21, 2017 at the Elizabeth Baptist Church.

 

The afternoon began with a free Hot Dog/Chili Dinner at 1:00pm followed by weigh-ins and inspection of Cubs + Siblings + Adults race cars along with a Silent Craft Auction.

 

Cubmaster Keith shared the Pinewood Derby history and explained the rules for the races.

 

Grandparent Dean Thorn spoke of sportsmanship.

 

The races began with the playing of the National Anthem.

 

30 Cubs racing from Pack 30 were: Caleb A - Matthew B - Frankie B - Gregory B - Trenton B - Tucker C - Hayden C - Lucas C - Austin De - Travis D - Quincy F - Eli F - Jack F - Tyler H - Chase H - William K - Byron L - Corbin L - Aiden L - Grayson M - Liam M - Louis M IV - Seth P - Leland P - Draygon P - Ryder P - Andrew P - Anthony R - Lincoln T - Braden W.

 

Receiving metals were 1st place Caleb A - 2nd place Matthew B - 3rd place Lincoln T.

 

All Cubs received a participation ribbon.

 

14 Siblings racing were: Levi L - Emma A -Josiah F - Braidin F - Brandon F - Camilla A - Lily B - Lilly F - Leia M - Conner H - Elisha P - Eden P - Alexis D - Luke H.

 

Finshing 1st place Emma A - 2nd place Conner H - 3rd place Leia M.

 

All Siblings racing received a participation ribbon.

 

11 Adults from the pack racing were: Summer Lucky - Lori Cofery - Ken Cheuvront - Jason Axley - Chris Long - Derek Egbert - Chase Corbitt - Leanna Corbitt - Brian Wiacek - Curtis Dotson - Amanda Balis.

 

Finishing 1st place Ken Cheuvront - 2nd place Jason Axley - 3rd place Brian Wiacek.

 

Silent Craft Auction netted $194.00.
