Cub Scout Pack 30

 

The pack held their annual graduation on Saturday June 3 at Camp Barbe in the midst of a brief hail storm with pouring rain.

 

A cookout was enjoyed by our Cub Scouts, their families and guests.

 

The flag ceremony was performed by our Webelos Scouts.

 

Everyone enjoyed two videos our annual Sights and Sounds of Pack 30 2022-2023 and an outdoor video produced by our Webelos 2 for their Moviemaking adventure.

Lions Scouts Carson Hartford and Castiel Nay received a Super Achiever patch for completing all 13 Lion adventures.

 

Tiger Scouts Barrett Davis - AJ Richards + Lincoln Traugh received a Super Achiever patch for completing all 19 Tiger adventures.

 

Each graduation ceremony was unique and included the Cub Scout receiving his new handbook, neckerchief, and slide.

A flag retirement ceremony was performed by Cubmaster Keith and Webelos Scout Luke Hardbarger. The ashes of the flags will be buried at a future pack outing.

 

Webelos 2 Scouts Logan Davis - Nolan McCallister - James Pitts were presented with the highest award a Cub Scout can earn the "Arrow of Light" with each shooting his arrow marked with ranks achieved in Cub Scouting to the "Arrow of Light" target. The Scouts presented the "Arrow of Light" family pins to their parents.

 

The evening concluded with an impressive Crossing the Bridge ceremony for our Webelos 2 Scouts.

 

After the flaming arrow reached its target and before crossing the bridge with their familiy, Cubmaster Keith reviewed each of the Webelos accomplishments in Cub Scouting and presented each with a certificiate. Den leader Rob Pitts divested each of their Webelos neckerchiefs and each crossed the bridge welcomed by members of Boy Scout Troop 30.
