The pack celebrated the 85th birthday of Cub Scouting with their annual Blue-Gold Banquet on Saturday February 14 at the Elizabeth Baptist Church.
Invocation was given by Rev Lee Williams.
A covered-dish dinner for Cub Scouts, Family Members, and Friends of the Pack began the evening.
This year the pack had a circus theme.
Webelos 2 Cyclone and Patriot Patrols performed the flag ceremony.
Cubmaster Keith gave a brief history of Scouting's Blue-Gold Banquet which began in 1933 and How Scouting Came to America.
Impressive and entertaining skits were performed by our Cub Scouts.
A Cub Scout Court of Honor was held for the Cub Scouts who had earned advancements. A "Like an Acorn" ceremony was performed for Webelos 2 Cyclone Patrol Scout, Paul Jett for earning the highest award a Cub Scout can earn the "Arrow of Light."
Webelos 2 Patriot Patrol Scouts, Nicholas B - Remington C - Christian R - Mason R received their God and Family Award from Mentor Rev. Lee Williams and Leader Jerry Bain.
Cubs were presented service stars for their years in Cub Scouting. 1 year - Matthew B - Thomas C - Braxton D - Byron L - Mason R - Braden W.
2 years - Nicholas B - Remington C - Travis D - Brody J - Corbin L - Seth P - Christian R - Anthony R
3 years - Caleb A - Logan C - Hayden C - Ephraim L - Andrew P

Each Cub Scout was asked to make a dessert, with the help of an adult male for the Cub/Male Dessert Silent Auction.
Desserts included Valentine Cupcakes - Chocolate Chip Cookies - Devil's Food Cake - Berry Cheesecake - Peanut Butter Balls - Sin Cake - Caramel Brownies - Chocolate Chip Brownies - Strawberry Cheesecake - Apple Pie - Death by Oreos Gift Set - Reese Pieces Cookies - Cherry Cheesecake - Banana Bread - Triple Chocolate Chunk Donut Cake - Money Bread - Brownies - Coconut Creme Pie - Raspberry Tortes - Chocolate Chip Muffins - Chocolate Creme Pie - Cupcakes and a John Deere toy tractor and licenses plates.
A total of 27 items were auctioned with a pack profit including donations of $365.00.
The evening concluded with the retrieving of the colors by Webelos 2 Cyclone Patrol and Patriot Patrol.
