The pack performed a service project at the Beauchamp Cemetery in Elizabeth on Saturday November 23 led by the Elizabeth Beauchamp Chapter Daughters of American Pioneers.
 
The cemetery is the final resting place for many of the first settlers of Wirt County.
 
The pack purchased the flag and rope for the flag pole and performed a flag raising ceremony.
 
The event began with an opening by Carole Menefee, Regent Daughters of American Pioneers.
 
Introductions were given by Cub Scout Pack 30 Assistant Cubmaster Derek Egbert.
 
In attendance were Robert B. Newman III, a descendant of William Beauchamp, and his wife Edith. Mr. Newman talked about William Beauchamp the first settler in Wirt County. 
 
Cub Scouts raised the American flag, lowered the flag, and properly folded the flag explaining the meaning of each fold.
