This was the second year for the pack making applebutter.

 

The two day event began with the preparation of the apples on Saturday March 15, 2014 at the Elizabeth Baptist Church.

 

Day 2 was the actual cooking of the applebutter under the direction of Webelos Den leader Ken Jett at Sportsman's Park in Elizabeth on Sunday March 16, 2014 on a cold and snowy day.

 

Lunch was provided which included, hot dogs and fixins, chili, soupbeans and cornbread, snacks and drinks.

 

The result of the four kettles were 234 pints of delicious apple butter.

 

You may see any Cub Scout family for a pint of homemade apple butter for $5.00. Sugar-free is available for $6.00 while supplies last.

Several siblings also participated.
